So you've always wanted to join a Yacht Club. Well now's your chance and you don't even need to own a Yacht. In fact, this Yacht Club is Yachtless! That's right, we're not about YACHTS we're about PEOPLE!
If you're looking for a social club for meeting wonderful people, dining, dancing, and just having fun, then look no further. If there's one thing we know how to do, it's have fun. All club functions and activities are run and supervised by our club members. In addition to two social evenings a month, we also host a variety of activities throughout the month. Our proximity to the intercoastal waterway is also ideal for canoeing and kayaking. Our monthly newsletter is called, "The Yacht Yarn."

Dinner Dances
Dinner Dances
One or two Dinner Dances are held monthly from October to May. Each has a holiday or other fun theme and most are informal events (i.e., casual Florida attire welcome!). A few are formal, where slacks and dresses are encouraged.
The ticket price includes 2 drink tokens for our full bar. A salad, full meal and dessert are served for dinner. Music is provided by a band or professional DJ, with familiar tunes from the 50's to the present day! Come join the fun - it'll keep you young.

Social Activities
There are many social activities on our calendar, led by members. Many are free, the rest are very low cost. Some occur year-round, while others are seasonal (November to May). Social activities are a great way to get to know other members and build friendships. There's something for everyone!

Kayaking

SVYC offers a launch and access to popular destinations: Alligator Creek, Caspersen Beach, Red Lake & Manasota Key Bridge. Weekly travel trips are offered from November to May. Our kayak storage racks have space for over 200 kayaks!

Club Service
Club Service
Our club runs on the power of volunteers! There are no paid staff. Volunteering a great way to help the club function, keep dues and event fees low and to make and grow friendships with fellow club members. Please volunteer as often as you can, every little bit helps!
Donations are another way to contribute to the club. Bar sponsors and silent auction basket gifts are needed for dinner dances.
