Our club runs on the power of volunteers! Please volunteer as often as you can! It's a great way to help the club function and to make and strengthen friendships with fellow club members.

Bar Sponsors Needed: If you’d rather fulfill contribute to SVYC by being a bar sponsor, let’s hear from you! We need two sponsors for each dance. Donation is $100. It’s very simple. Dinner Dance Cleanup - Clean the hall after dinner dances includes putting decorations away, wiping tables, putting chairs up, dry & wet mop floor, trash & recycling. Mondays at 9 AM following a Dinner Dance & German Club. Generally takes 1 hour.
Administrator general assistance
Provides office support to either an individual or team and is vital for the smooth-running of a business. Their duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and filing.
Hall rental agent(s)
Looking for another individual to assist Jo and Pete Pukish. Warmly greets prospective renters. Provides potential tenants with brochures, information, and tours of facilities and available units. Consults with prospective tenants to identify requirements and budgets, then matches these needs with available properties. Opens and closes renter events.

Over 17,000 files were downloaded from the previous SVYC website. Many are photos from past dinner dances. Help is needed to organize the photos so they can be posted to the new website.

Documentarian
Develops “How to” documentation in junction with Rear Commodore for:
a. Water system
b. Other subjects when deemed necessary
Pest Control - Coordinates with pest control vendor for scheduled treatments and any pressing concerns; plus undertakes twice monthly survey of the grounds and applies fire ant killer where required.
HVAC - Coordinates access with HVAC vendor for twice yearly inspection/repair of three roof top HVAC units and associated interior equipment. Additionally, maintains and controls settings of three interior thermostats.
Club Security - Quarterly, monitors functionality of all security items to include site and buildings’ access, fencing, site signage. Annually, updates access codes to gates and doors and notifies proper individuals of such change.
Club Kitchen - Keeps community kitchen clean and organized, as required, weekly at a minimum. Ensures kitchen items are stored in proper, labeled locations-not left visible on counters.
